**Reminder for volunteers and the CJIS online training section**
When a volunteer has been approved on their fingerprints/background check, and the facility has approved the application, the volunteer will receive an email, stating their approval and provided with instructions on how to complete their online training. There are five sections on the online training component that the volunteer must complete and in the following order:
1. Volunteer training manual
2. CJIS online training (where you use the username and password that was provided)
3. Entrance and exit procedures
4. HIPAA
5. PREA
When the volunteer reaches the CJIS section, the volunteer is instructed to email the following, to request a username and password to access their CJIS portion: [email protected]
Volunteers do NOT and should NOT email the CJIS company directly. If a volunteer has any questions regarding online training, please have them contact the facilities Chaplain, and/or email [email protected] for assistance.

- Changes to the online application process: If you are completing an application to become a "regular" volunteer, you no longer need to enter a TCN number into a link. As long as the volunteer was electronically scanned under the correct ORI number (FL037H75C), then our agency will automatically receive their fingerprints. The next step after being fingerprinted, is that the volunteer will need to wait for one email, stating that your application has been approved and that you are ready to complete online training in which further steps/instructions will be provided in the email.
- Our new online system is up and running! If you would like to be come a volunteer for the Florida Department of Corrections, please use the link below to complete an online application. Once you have submitted the application, our online automatic system will send you emails with guidance each step of the way:
